On August 10th not less than 100 hot-air balloons will take off at the same time from several locations in the city of Breda. With this spectacular event Breda Ballon Fiësta celebrates her 20th anniversary. Such an amazing spectacle is an unknown phenomenon for the last 25 years in Dutch ballooning. To make this happen we are looking for companies who are willing to have a balloon launch from one of the locations in the city of Breda.

Sponsoring facilities
From the main site at the Rietdijk in the district Haagsen Beemden in Breda, the place where Breda Ballon Fiesta takes place every year, 35 balloons will take off. From 20 other locations in the city of Breda and its near surroundings the other balloons will departure. This all takes place in close consultation with local and aviation authorities. Besides these locations we have in mind it is also possible to have a balloon launched from a company's property. Breda Ballon Fiësta is looking for companies who will help to make this all happen by sponsoring a location. These locations must have the minimal size of approximately one soccer pitch, must be grass-covered and without obstacles. It is also possible to put your company's name to one of the other public locations.
Some existing sponsors of Breda Ballon Fiësta already applied, amongst others Finntax Telecom BV and AAFire. "To us Breda Ballon Fiesta is the ultimate way to have clients experience a unique event with such a fabulous ambience. In 2005 we sponsor Breda Ballon Fiësta for 5 years. For that reason we will do something extra. We adopt a location to make the ultimate dream of Breda Ballon Fiesta come true (…)", says John van Zundert managing director and owner of AAFire.
This year's event will be opened by Wubbo Ockels. 20 years ago he was the first Dutch astronaut.

One hundred balloons in the sky
The various launches will take place at the same time, so at one moment the sky above Breda will be filled with colourful and variously shaped hot-air balloons. This spectacular balloon show is the start of the 20th Breda Ballon Fiësta that takes place from 11 - 13 August at the Rietdijk in Breda.
